HEY THERE!

I'm Amy Jo. Artist, Educator, and Surface Pattern Designer.

I am an Artist, Educator, and Surface Pattern Designer whose work is inspired by pops of color and dramatic florals. Through my use of watercolor, acrylic, and a dash of digital magic, I create magical designs that help brighten any space (or any outfit!).

My art is driven by my passion to merge creative color with playful design to create whimsical designs.

In addition to my art practice, I have been teaching art to students of all ages and abilities since 2012. Through my teaching, I hope to inspire a love of creativity and self-expression in my students, and to help them develop the skills and techniques they need to bring their own artistic visions to life.

In 2021, I wrote my first children's book, The Magical Mind of Mitzy which encourages children to dream big and always keep creating. I am proud to have been able to share my love of art and storytelling with young readers, and to have encouraged their own creativity and imagination.

My artwork has received numerous awards, including the Cass County People's Choice Award. I sit on the Board of Directors of Diversabilities, a non-profit helping adolescents with disabilities establish employment opportunities.

Through my art, teaching, and writing, I hope to continue to inspire others and to make a meaningful impact on the world around me.
